The 1794 Flowing Hair Specimen Silver Dollar from the Cardinal Collection sold for the world record price of $10,016,875 at a public auction held in New York City by the auction firm Stack’s Bowers.
The coin was purchased by Laura Sperber of Legend Numismatics. The price realized makes this coin the highest price paid in auction for any numismatic item.
