Meet Former Mint Director Philip Diehl at ANA World’s Fair of Money

Phil Diehl and a 1999 Proof Set

By Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA) ……
Meet former U.S. Mint director Philip N. Diehl in person at the 2017 American Numismatic Association (ANA) World’s Fair of Money in Denver!

From Diehl’s creation of the popular 50 State Quarters program to his launch of the first-ever U.S. government–issued platinum coin, he is considered one of the most influential U.S. Mint directors of the modern era.

Prior to his work at the Mint, Diehl served as chief of staff of the U.S. Department of the Treasury and as staff director of the U.S. Senate Finance Committee. He was then nominated by President Bill Clinton to be director of the United States Mint.

Diehl, currently the president of U.S. Money Reserve in Austin, Texas, was named the Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA) chairman in 2016.

“ICTA is fortunate to have Philip Diehl serve as its current chairman,” says ICTA chief operating officer David Crenshaw. “Don’t miss this opportunity to meet one of America’s most influential numismatic luminaries.”

Diehl will meet with show attendees from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, at the ICTA booth #265. Attendees meeting Diehl will receive a U.S. Mint 1999 50 State Quarters Proof Set, while supplies last.

ICTA greatly appreciates Gary Adkins’ in-kind donation of a quantity of the proof sets.
