PNG Adds Dealer Day to November Baltimore Expo

Dealers Get a New Wholesale Trading Day Before Whitman’s Big November Show

The Professional Numismatists Guild will add a PNG Dealer Day to the November 2026 Whitman Baltimore Expo. The dealer-only event takes place Wednesday, November 11, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.

The move brings PNG’s dealer-focused format to the eastern United States. It also gives the Baltimore market a new pre-show trading window before the public expo opens.

PNG announced the addition on June 9, 2026. The organization cited the growing success of PNG Dealer Days at the annual Central States Numismatic Society conventions as a key reason for the expansion.

Why Baltimore Matters

Baltimore has long served as a major meeting point for the rare coin and currency trade. Dealers from across the country use the show to buy, sell, price fresh material, and build inventory before the year-end market push.

Now, PNG Dealer Day adds another layer to that activity.

For dealers, the appeal comes from timing. The November 11 event gives the trade a full wholesale day before the main Whitman show opens to the public. As a result, dealers can work the floor, compare fresh purchases, and make inventory decisions before collector traffic begins.

PNG President John Brush said the strong response to PNG’s CSNS dealer-only events in the Chicago area pushed the group to add an eastern event. He also called the Whitman Baltimore Expo “an ideal location.”

Open to All Dealers

PNG Dealer Day will open to all dealers.

Admission will cost nothing for PNG members. Non-member dealers will pay $100. However, dealers who do not have tables at the Baltimore show must show proof of a tax identification number to buy admission for PNG Dealer Day.

The format keeps the event focused on the trade. It also preserves the wholesale character that has made PNG Dealer Days popular at Central States.

No Table Moves Required

The logistics should make the event easier for table holders.

PNG said all tables for Dealer Day will remain the same as those used for the Whitman Expo. Therefore, dealers will not need to move from one table to another after the dealer-only session.

Set-up runs from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 11. Then, the bourse opens for wholesale, dealer-only trading from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

That schedule gives dealers a concentrated seven-hour trading session before the public show starts.

Whitman Baltimore Expo Opens November 12

The Whitman Baltimore Expo opens to the public November 12-14, 2026. The show takes place at the Baltimore Convention Center, Halls A, B & C, at 1 West Pratt Street in Baltimore, Maryland.

Bourse applications for PNG members and non-member dealers appear on the PNG website.

Whitman Expos also welcomed the addition.

Christy Burbank, Assistant General Manager of Whitman Expos, said Whitman takes pride in its role as a major organizer of North American coin and currency shows. She added that the November 2026 PNG Dealer Day will bring more excitement, discovery, and community involvement for numismatic marketplace professionals.

Hotel Rooms and Dealer Planning

Dealers should make hotel reservations early.

Whitman lists discounted hotel options at six hotels near the Baltimore Convention Center. Accommodation information appears on the Whitman Baltimore Expo website.

The early hotel push matters. Major Baltimore shows often draw strong dealer participation. In addition, the new Dealer Day adds another reason for firms to arrive before the public opening.

A Bigger East Coast Trading Window

PNG dates to 1955 and remains one of the hobby’s best-known professional dealer organizations. Its Code of Ethics and dealer network have helped shape the modern rare coin marketplace.

The new Baltimore Dealer Day extends that presence. It also gives dealers another formal wholesale venue in one of the hobby’s most important show cities.

For collectors, the impact may show up one day later. Fresh deals made on Wednesday can become new inventory on Thursday. That makes the November Baltimore Expo even more important for buyers who want first access to material entering the market.
