The Germany 2015 UNESCO World Heritage Site 100 euro gold coin is the twelfth issue of Germany’s multi-year series (2003-present) of 100 euro gold coins honoring Germany’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This issue celebrates the Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

Obverse: Giving a bird’s eye view of the Middle Rhine Valley, the cities of Bingen, Rüdesheim and Koblenz are depicted; smaller cities and towns are denoted by dots. The inscription reads: UNESCO WELTERBE OBERES MITTELRHEINTAL.

Reverse: The German eagle figure depicted as a modern stylized figure. Inscriptions: BUNDESREPUBLIK DEUTSCHLAND, 100 EURO, Date. Wrapping around the bottom of the coin are twelve stars representing twelve Eurozone countries. To the right of the Eagle’s right talon will appear the relevant mintmark.
