The Royal Australian Mint continues their popular series of Kangaroo coins, with this 2016 issue of the Silver Kangaroo one-ounce coin, featuring Australia’s Eastern Grey Kangaroo (Macropus giganteus). The Eastern Grey is native to Australia’s inland plain and eastern coast.
This 1 oz. silver coin is struck with a limited mintage of 5,000 pieces.

A mother Kangaroo with a joey in her pouch faces to the left in this scene from the Australian wilderness. Gum trees frame the Kangaroos in the foreground, as more trees dot the Australian wetlands at the foot of rugged mountain range in the background.
Inscriptions: ONE DOLLAR wraps around the rim at the top of the coin. 1 OZ .999 AG wraps around the coin’s rim at the bottom.
