  1. I was fortunate enough to have the chance to communicate with Mr.Bowers by e-mail 5 or 6 years ago. I was looking for Amon Carters sale catalog whiich was mailed to me early. He & Dad grew up to gether, played golf together.. Could nor find mine & we must have talked at least 5 eimails. Told him Dad & I were in Amon’s office one Sunday morning before they left to play golf & I actaually got to hold 1804 dollar. Amon helped us begn our collecting in earlt to mid-50’s & as important man as Mr Bowers is, took the time to write me back & forth many times, long mails helping me & guiding me with answers on how, what, when & why to buy, what to look for, if overoaying, so much information. This important man took the time to explain so much with ways & what to look for what to buy according to what I could afford. Just so much information & he took the time with me, just a person he didn’t know.
Amon would at times buy 500 or 1ooo rolls of coins & sell to his friends many at his cost. I till have a roll of 1976 Krigerands he bought, about 400 rolls, in Oct, 1976 @ $147.60 per coin.
But for Mr Bowers to actually take his valuable time to give me some help & guide lines , what to watch for is something I’ll never forget & was very special. Shows the kind of gentleman he is. I even bought some Greeks, Roman coins from you all of which I didn’t know enough about. But he taught me patience & I came out okay on them.
So thank you Mr. Bowers for your valuable time & patience.
