menorahBut for this year’s Community Chanukah Festival, Chabad of Hunterdon County, New Jersey plans to build the world’s largest coin menorah ever assembled.

Between 11 am and 2 pm on Sunday, December 21 (the fifth day of Chanukah), community members are invited to bring as many coins as they like to help fill the menorah. The event is taking place at Healthquest, 310 Rt 31 North in Flemington.

The festival includes Chanukah games and crafts, carnival games and activities, a mechanical bull, a monkey show, dreidels, gelt and lots of snacks and treats for all ages. The general public is also invited.

Admission is $8.

After the menorah is complete, the money will go to the Chabad of Hunterdon County Coat and Heating Fund, providing coats to those in need during the coldest parts of Winter.
