By Tuesday, September 29, the United States Mint had sold out of the Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge 5 oz. silver bullion coin. The coin, the fourth and next-to-last entry in the 2015 America the Beautiful Quarters silver bullion series, had been released only a day earlier on the 28th.
As such, 2015 continues to be a successful year for the Mint’s America the Beautiful bullion coin program. The first coin in the series, the Homestead National Monument 5 oz. silver bullion coin, was released on February 17 and sold out by April 1.
The second coin in the series, the Kisatchie National Forest 5 oz. silver bullion coin, sold out by May 7. It was initially released on April 20.
The third entry–the Blue Ridge Parkway 5 oz. silver bullion coin–became available on June 22, temporarily sold out the same day, resumed sales on July 13 and officially sold out on July 29.
