CoinWeek: How the Crocodile 3-Euro Coin Gets Its Color – 4K Video

Color printing technology has come a long way since the first colorized coins entered & scandalized the modern coin industry. In this exclusive video from CoinWeek, we watch as the Austrian Mint prepares the next release of its popular children’s coin series “Colorful Creatures”, using a state-of-the-art color printing press to individually apply glow-in-the-dark color to their “Krokodil” three-euro coin.

Slated for a June release, the Krokodil coin will be offered for sale at an affordable price of just under 10 euro per coin. The coin has a face value of three euro.

If you like the design, do not wait to pick up your piece – the first two releases sold out quickly!
