The United States Mint has officially opened sales for the highly anticipated American Eagle 2025 One Ounce Palladium Reverse Proof Coin, a collector favorite struck at the West Point Mint. With an exceptionally low mintage and product limit of just 6,000 coins, this limited release did not sell out within its first 24 hours of release and is priced at $1,695 per coin.

This reverse proof coin, which contains one ounce of 99.95% fine palladium, continues the classic motifs by Adolph A. Weinman. The obverse features a high-relief version of Weinman’s Winged Liberty, originally used for the Mercury Dime from 1916 to 1945. Inscriptions include “LIBERTY,” “IN GOD WE TRUST,” “2025,” and Weinman’s distinct artist mark. The reverse showcases a high-relief eagle grasping a branch, a design first used on the 1907 American Institute of Architects Gold Medal. The reverse inscriptions are “UNITED STATES of AMERICA,” “$25,” “1 OZ. Pd,” “.9995 FINE,” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM.”

Each American Eagle 2025 One Ounce Palladium Reverse Proof Coin is encapsulated and presented in a black satin-lined box bearing the U.S. Mint seal. An outer sleeve with an image of the obverse coin design and a Certificate of Authenticity are also included.

This coin is the collector-focused version of the American Eagle Palladium Bullion Coin program, which was first introduced in 2017.

  1. Very nice coin at a great price. Looking at a few other sites showing the same coin with the box, this is lower by at least $50.00.

  2. The market value of One Ounce Palladium oz has put these coins in a class and market that seems to be limited to the majority of coin collectors.

  3. For the palladium Merc… id purchase a couple if they were original size like the gold comemms were… I dont care for an untrue to life large cion

  4. A beautiful coin, I just have never liked ANY item specifically produced to be a collectable item. They are either produced in numbers so small, only a small group of individuals usually end up with them or they produce so many that they have no real collectable value.
FINDING something that becomes collectable is so much better.
