1792 Patterns, 200+ Dealers, and Baltimore’s Big Summer Coin Show
Free June 11–13 show returns to the Inner Harbor with rare coins, paper money, bullion, Kid’s Nook activities, and Stack’s Bowers auction lot viewing

Baltimore’s Inner Harbor will welcome collectors back this June as Whitman Expos returns with the Whitman Summer Coin & Collectibles Expo. The show runs June 11–13, 2026, in Halls A and B of the Baltimore Convention Center.
The Summer Expo offers a relaxed and approachable version of Whitman’s larger Baltimore shows. However, collectors should not mistake “smaller” for “quiet.” The event brings together dealers, collectors, investors, families, auction specialists, and hobby organizations for three days of buying, selling, trading, and learning.
Even better, public admission is free with a government-issued photo ID.
A Collector-Friendly Summer Show
Whitman Expos designed the Summer Expo with accessibility in mind. The footprint feels easier to navigate than the company’s larger Spring and Winter events. As a result, new collectors can explore the bourse without feeling overwhelmed.

At the same time, advanced collectors still have plenty to study. The show floor will feature rare coins, paper money, bullion, tokens, medals, and collecting supplies. Visitors will also find educational club meetings, auction lot viewing, youth activities, and opportunities to meet dealers and numismatic experts from across the country.
Christy Burbank, General Manager of Whitman Expos, said the Summer Expo may have a smaller footprint than the Spring and Winter shows. Yet she described it as “every bit as enjoyable and energetic.” She also emphasized the show’s welcoming atmosphere for collectors of all experience levels.
That point matters. A major coin show can serve many audiences at once. One visitor may hunt for a key-date U.S. coin. Another may study Colonial copper. A family may bring a young collector to the Kid’s Nook. Meanwhile, a seasoned bidder may preview auction lots that could reshape the market.
What Collectors Will Find in Baltimore

The Summer Expo highlights include free public admission, more than 200 independent dealers, Stack’s Bowers Galleries auction lot viewing, Kid’s Nook programming, club meetings, on-site supplies, and hobby resources.
The show also includes a First Strike Opening Reception with coffee and pastries. In addition, Whitman will host family-friendly activities throughout the event.
The Early American Coppers Club and the Maryland State Numismatic Association will also meet during the show. These meetings add an educational layer to an event already built around direct collector access.
Stack’s Bowers Brings Auction Rarities to the Show
Stack’s Bowers Galleries, the Official Auctioneer of Whitman Expos, will present lot viewing for highlights from its Summer 2026 Showcase Auction series.
Visitors will have the chance to preview important numismatic Americana, Colonial and Pre-Federal coins, and U.S. rarities. The material ranges from 1792 patterns through classic silver dollars and modern issues.
Featured sessions include Rarities Night selections from the Young-Dakota Collection. The auction series also includes specialized offerings of historic paper money and physical cryptocurrency.
Together, those categories show the current depth of the marketplace. Traditional U.S. rarities remain powerful. However, collectors also continue to follow paper money, physical crypto, and crossover areas that bring new bidders into numismatics.
Show Location and Entrance
The Whitman Summer Expo will take place in Halls A and B of the Baltimore Convention Center.
The primary entrance for Halls A and B is the Charles Street Lobby. It sits at the intersection of South Charles Street and West Pratt Street.
